Therapists

“When someone really hears you without passing judgment on you, without trying to take responsibility for you, without trying to mould you, it feels damn good…”
Carl Rogers

Kosel Counselling is a partnership of two therapists with experience in helping individuals overcome difficulties in their lives, helping to empower their clients and help set them free. We use non judgemental and empathic person-centred counselling and can utilise a range of methods and practices that may be of benefit.

Eugenie Walker

I believe that we all have the power to heal ourselves with the help of a strong therapeutic relationship. Being a person-centred counsellor, I feel that you are the expert of your lived experience. Sometimes I might suggest other methods such as CBT that might be helpful to bring into sessions, but this will always be guided by you.

I am trained to work with a wide range of difficulties but my areas of speciality include perimenopause and menopause, anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties. I have personal and professional experience with Autism and ADHD and in addition have received specialist training in these areas. I also offer a supportive space for parents whose children are struggling with Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) with or without diagnosed neurodivergence. All clients, be they neurodivergent or neurotypical are welcome.

I have spent many years working in the education sector with children struggling with their mental health and in recent years, I have gained experience working with adults. I have an MSc in Psychology and have worked in the NHS as an Education Mental Health practitioner.

In my free time, I enjoy being out in nature – hiking, surfing or reading

Lisa Barlow

I’m a qualified person centred therapist with a background in coaching and mentoring. My counselling approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has the innate ability to heal and grow when supported in the right environment.

I help clients tackle challenges like anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, grief, and trauma. With time and the right therapeutic relationship, I believe you can transform your experiences into personal growth and resilience.

I’m also a Neuro Linguistic Practitioner which helps you reframe thoughts, break unhelpful patterns and build empowering behaviours, fostering clarity, confidence, and personal growth.

I have a special interest and personal experience in menopause, neurodivergence and chronic illness. I also have experience working with PTSD and trauma.

Beyond therapy, I have a deep connection to animals and nature which inspires my practice. I find solace in birdwatching and the rhythms of the ocean—experiences that ground me and influence my therapeutic approach.
